The château
The principal façade of the house was typically north-facing, for summer coolness, and overlooked the water features and the Choulot landscape. But in the 1890s the countess installed a glazed verandah or loggia on the southern façade, to use for her floristry displays. This sunlit and sheltered space is nowadays the most popular and public part of the house.
The north facing back facade has a beautiful view towards the park's lake. When seen from the lake the chateau can be seen reflected in the water, one of Choulot's trademarks.
