The present

The current owners bought the chateau in 1991 and they have been restoring it ever since. They are trying to respect and maintain tradition while adapting it to a more contemporary usage.

However, the parkland has been brought back to the original design, and augmented by some new planting in the Choulot style.

The result is a beautiful property with a wonderfully tranquil feel. The park and kitchen gardens (le potager) were listed (inscrit) as a historical monument in 2008.

The parkland is now used for grazing and a hay crop, following the traditions of the parc agricole. The potager, with its characteristic box hedging and espaliered fruit-trees, has been largely put back into productive use, together with the cold-frames. However, the magnificent hot-house boiler and horticultural heating system, designed by Choulot, is no longer viable, but remains, like the vestiges of the ice-house in the park, as a ghostly reminder of former glory.
